OSHRM Objectives

  • Create a platform for HR professionals to communicate and enhance human resources in the Sultanate.
  • Strengthen the level of engagement between the private and the public sectors.
  • Collaborate with Omani and international academic institutions to connect their output with the needs of local employment market. Also to use the expertise and resources from these institutions to develop human resources across the Nation.
  • Take interest in human resources issues in Oman and offer advice and recommendations that contribute to the implementation of best practices.
  • Conduct research and studies in the development of human resources and publish these studies as per local guidelines.
  • Conduct workshops, discussions sessions, and conferences, seminars in coordination with companies, both public and private.  
  • Establish relationships to exchange knowledge and expertise with other similar societies regionally and internationally.
  • Offer functional advice to organizations, both public and private and offer support in human resource development in these organizations.
  • Contribute to ongoing efforts and initiatives to develop national human capital in various sectors, socially Omanization.
  • Offer specialized training programs to uplift the capability of Omani workforce in the public and private sectors to contribute to improved production.
  • Offer training programs and workshops to university and school students to guide them in their career options.
